who we are
Finance withoutthe needless complexity
Konomi was born out of frustration. Schools teach finance in a boring way, detached from reality. We want to change that and show that understanding money can come naturally to anyone.

I started Konomi out of frustration with the way things are taught at school. Economics, finance, money are things everyone needs one day, and yet they're explained in a way nobody understands.
Before Konomi I tried building educational websites about physics and maths. The urge to make things that genuinely help people stayed with me. The name came about simply: I took the Czech word ekonomie (economics), removed the first and last letter, and got Konomi. A Japanese name that also belongs to the app's main mascot.
"I want students to feel smarter after a lesson, not exhausted. I want finance to stop being the topic everyone avoids."

Konomi is growing and we're looking for people who want to build something meaningful. Write to us at kariera@konomi.cz or check out the careers page.
academic collaboration
Collaboration with VŠE planned
We care about Konomi's content being accurate. We're planning to work with experts and educators from VŠE (Prague University of Economics and Business) to help verify the courses and push them further. For now the lessons are written carefully and thoughtfully, and academic collaboration is the natural next step.
